Day 9 - The King is Coming!

Jeremiah 17:7 NKJV

7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.

Right about now, I’m sure someone is wondering if this King is who He says He is. This tiny little verse gives us insight into His nature and character. Memories of past holidays come flooding to mind. Arguments, disappointments, unmet expectations. Gifts that say anything but “I love you”.Here’s what the dictionary defines as trust.

Trust is the firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. You can believe in, bank on, count on, pin one's hopes on.

In the Holiday Season, it’s easy to put our trust in people, presents, parties and endless preparations but this verse tells us we can trust the King and more than that, we are blessed if we do! Wow! The King is coming and I can trust Him alone because He is reliable, truthful, able and has the strength to accomplish anything. I can believe in Him, bank on Him, count on Him and pin every single one of my hopes on Him. Now that’s someone I can look forward to arriving!
