1 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.

We all know that one person who insists on playing Christmas music months beforehand. It can get irritating. By the time December actually arrives we find ourselves switching the channel on the radio and searching for something other than “Frosty the Snowman” and “Grandma got run over by a reindeer.” And to be honest, it’s understandable. However, scripture actually encourages us to sing! Why not try something new this year and dust off some old Christmas hymns. There are many absolutely gorgeous versions to be discovered and the words are amazing. Maybe you could even research the origin of a favourite hymn and fall in love with the very King for whom the songs were written.
